A ring and a tower
Une bague et une tour
(ma binette partout)

My first sterling silver bezel setting, a smooth onyx cabochon in a textured cup with a hammered and adjustable band.

I was particularly nervous about it, and afraid to damage the stone while bending the bezel around the stone, so it took me ages to finish it...

and it's sooooo difficult to take a picture of silver and black, especially when I modeled the ring with my right hand and try to take a picture from the left one!!! Argh! So I called my dear husband to help!

it's a post about first times because some earrings of mine are in the spring Belle Armoire Jewelry Magazine issue, and that's a first!!! I'm very impressed by the professional quality of the pictures - not mine!

and you won't escape some holiday pictures! We've spent a couple of days in freezing La Rochelle, we even had some snow!

so here is the tower of the title and there are several in La Rochelle

and a picture of a house in Saint-Martin on the isle of Ré

In La Rochelle, the weather was bad and we were happy to visit some museum, of which the Natural History Museum where they have a beautiful fossils collection

It was closing time and in the hurry I forgot to write down the label! I only know it's animal fossil found  in the local soft stone... The ones below look like beads... or I wish they were beads!

les fossiles ci-dessous sont splendides! Je voudrais bien en faire des perles....

and since I've been asked about some pictures of my studio and a portrait, here they are!

As you can see the light isn't flooding... but I've got a project about that!

The serious one, with the stern look...
Une photo sérieuse

and a smiling one, but as Loïc kept saying while taking pictures,
it seemed I wasn't able to keep my eyes open! The rust Tshirt is supposed to help brighten the color of my skin, as the photographer said among other niceties that these days my skin is the color of a dead thing!!!!
By the way, this awesome T-shirt is handmade by Sue Bradbury from Ellaina boutique
