Beach combing is my favorite activity and as I walk everyday on the shore, I usually find some interesting things : shells mostly, broken piece of porcelain, tumbled pieces of glass. But here was a special find... It's the first time I ever found pictures on the shore. And a whole packet. The first one I saw was a picture of a beach, a very strange visual experience.

C'est bien la première fois que je trouve des photos sur la plage. Et un certain nombre! La première que j'ai vue était une photo de plage, très bizarre comme mise en abîme...

What inspires me

A few days ago talented stylist Lois from 13thread posted about her inspirations, I found this post very interesting and her choices were offering us a new way of looking at her work

So I wanted to share here my today's bewilderments, maybe I'll make what inspires me a regular feature in my blog...

First, a piece of an abalone shell I've been offered, and then petals from a viburnum shrub from my garden

Voici les couleurs de mon jardin de poche en ces jours automnaux (si, si, dixit le Petit Robert, je vous l'accorde, c'est très laid comme mot).

La pelouse pousse à vue d'oeil et n'a pas le temps de sécher vu le taux d'humidité ambiante, je la regarde pousser sans pouvoir la couper.

These are the colors of my pocket garden. I can see the lawn growing... It's so wet that it can't dry, so I can't mown it...Bumbershoots are fine too!

Ganivelles

Certaines personnes reconnaîtront le lieu de la prise de vue... et l'auteur de ces images n'est pas celui que vous pensez!!!

Some of you will recognize the place....and will assume they know the photograph!

J'ai pris (eh oui!) ces photos il y a déjà...quelques années, mais je ne les ai vues qu'hier! L'acquisition d'un scanner de qualité nous permet désormais de scanner les films, j'en connais un qui ne tient pas en place et va rattraper des années sans tirage!!!!

I took (end of suspense) these pictures some...years ago, but I saw them for the first time yesterday! We bought a high quality scanner that allows to skip the paper stage from the films! Hooray! I know someone who's excited about catching up years without prints!
